The postcard collage entitled "Porto Covo Mussel" is a work of art from a series of coastal landscapes by Corinne Schneider.
The artist created a limited special edition of this work for rheingold, to which she attached a mussel and over painted parts of the landscape with golden studio bronze.

"The artistic appearance of the photograph stands in contrast to the shiny, tactile gold surface. The postcard collages call into question temporal and spatial congruence. Pictures of bygone species float suspended against contemporary landscapes. Transparent layers of reality overlay one another. Interlaced pictorial spaces and different vanishing points open up new perspectives."
